Within the city of Ahtarra are the temples of specific gods. These temples are run by, and worshiped in by members of the priesthood. Certain things pertain to each level.
Apprentice:
Apprentices are the lowest level of initiates in a temple surrounding. The term servant is often used to describe them. All initiates start as an Apprentice, some progress quicker then others. Apprentices are apprenticed to Woman and Men of the priesthood who are above Acolyte Rank.
Apprentice Rules.
1. Your higher initiate is always right, even when they are wrong.
2. You must ask permission before leaving your elders presence.
3. Unless the Divine power first calls you, you are not to call upon them.
4. Obedience must be observed at all times.
Acolytes
Acolytes are those who have begun training to become priests or priestesses. Their purpose is to study and learn as much as is possible.
Acolyte Rules
1. Respect your elder, learn from them.
2. Call upon a Divine power only in a dire situation.
3. Your sleeping quarters are your own, Keep them clean!
Priestess/Priest
This level of the priesthood is the level that most reach and stay in. Members of this level must have accurate knowledge of all of the Divine Powers. They are expected to lead, and apprentice the Apprentices and the Acolytes, they are the teachers and the commander of the lowlier ones.
Priest/Priestesses Rules
1. You are all equal, treat each other so!
2. Your Divine Power watched you closely, do not betray them!
3. Contact with the Divine is whenever you choose, just not about petty matters.
4. Vested Guardians are the only level higher then you, the only level you need respect on a mortal level.
Vested Guardians
Beware you who bee's a guardian for your life is no longer your own.
As a Guardian your life is owned by your Divine power. Requests they make of you are to be completely. Bear in mind though, that you have the right to make them propose a Sovereignty Oath that the repercussion of your actions for their will will not harm you on a mortal level.
Your duty is the well being of all below you, the prosperity of the fields when water and sun is scarce, the protection of the Holy Secrets.
Vested Guardians Rules
1. At no ones request, not even a governing power, are you to kill or maim a fellow Guardian.
2. The Holy Language is a sacred language to communicate on a personal level with the divine, misuse will grant death.
3. To protect your temple and it's occupants from dangerous outer entities is your calling.
